ONLINE FORMS The City of Harrison Building Code regulates one, two, and three family construction and accessory structures (i.e. fences, walls, sheds, pools, mechanical replacement, and garages). The purpose of this code is to provide minimum standards in the form of basic and uniform regulations relating to safety, sanitation, and conservation of energy. Inspections: It is the owner's responsibility to call the Building Department to arrange for the necessary inspections for a given project. A forty-eight (48) hour notice is required for any given inspection. The following inspections are mandatory for a given construction project: House, including additions: 1) Soil inspections 2) Rough plumbing inspection 3) Rough electric inspection 4) Framing inspection 5) Insulation inspection 6) Final plumbing inspection 7) Final electric inspection 8) Final building inspection Sheds, Fences, and Retaining Walls: 1) Final inspection Swimming Pools: 1) After excavation is complete 2) Final electrical inspection 3) Final inspection Mechanical Replacement: 1) Final electrical inspection 2) Final inspection Note: 1) All electrical inspections are conducted by Inspection Bureau, Inc. Telephone 513.326.4541 Multi-Family (other than two & three family) and Non-Residential Construction: All multi-family construction beyond three family structure and all non-residential construction is administered by the Hamilton County Building Department and is required by the Ohio Basic Building Code (OBBC). An initial review by Harrison's Fire, Police, Utility, Zoning, and Engineering Departments is conducted prior to all submittals to Hamilton County. An applicant must submit nine (9) sets of building plans and nine (9) site plans with an application for this Comprehensive Review to the Harrison Building Department. |
